Description
St. John’s Wort is also known as Hypericum perforatum. St. John’s Wort tablets are made using the finest aerial parts of St. John’s Wort plant. The plant itself, characterised by its beautiful yellow flowers, has been used traditionally for hundreds of years by continental Europeans, and its usages are documented as far back as Hippocrates.
Natures Aid UCalm St Johns Wort is a traditional herbal medicine used to relieve the symptoms of slightly low mood and mild anxiety. Exclusively based upon long standing use as a traditional remedy.
You should see your doctor or qualified healthcare practitioner if your symptoms worsen or persist for more than 6 weeks.
Each film-coated UCalm tablet contains 300mg of extract (as dry extract) from Natures Aid Ucalm (St John’s Wort) aerial parts (Hypericum perforatum L.) (5-7:1) (equivalent to 1500 – 2100mg St. John’s Wort). You can be assured that UCalm is both vegan friendly and free from common allergens such as gluten, yeast, dairy, soya, or nuts.
Possible side effects may include digestive upset, allergic skin reactions and itching of the skin. If you experience an allergic skin reaction, you should stop taking the product. People may also find that taking St John’s Wort causes their skin to become more sensitive to sunlight. It contains many chemicals that act on messengers in the brain that regulate mood.
People most commonly use St. John’s wort for depression and mood disorders. There is some strong scientific evidence that it is effective for mild to moderate depression. St. John’s wort is also used for symptoms of menopause and many other conditions, but there is no good scientific evidence to support most of these other uses.
Natures Aid Ucalm, St. John’s wort, is available in dietary supplements in the US. But France has banned its use in products because of drug interaction concerns. In other countries, St. John’s wort is only available with a prescription.
