What are the benefits of it?
Studies show that it helps dissolve blood clots — which helps maintain good blood vessel structure, improves blood flow, and lowers the risk of heart disease. It can also help lower your blood pressure, reducing strain on the heart that can lead to heart attacks.
How long does it take to see results from it?
Studies in humans have shown that ingesting a single dose of it increases blood levels of tPA for about 3 hours, while regular administration (taking 1,300 mg of nattokinase 3 times daily for 8 days) seems to gradually increase tPA in the blood over time.
What to avoid when taking nattokinase?
Use caution when taking nattokinase with the following:
Blood pressure medications: Nattokinase may lower your blood pressure. …
Blood thinners: Nattokinase may break up clots and thin out your blood.
With this being said, the best time to take it is on an empty stomach, and preferably with at least 8 ounces of water… An encapsulated supplement can take anywhere from 15-45 minutes to make its way through the stomach, depending on the individual person.
What are the side effects of taking it?
Bleeding disorders: It seems to act like a blood thinner and might make bleeding disorders worse. Use with caution. Surgery: It might increase the chance of bleeding during or after surgery. It might also make blood pressure difficult to control during surgery.
